afghans have difficulty accepting that their daughetr is marrying a non- afghan, when it comes 2 their sons however, they want his happiness etc etc, and are more lenient... unless u get a bitch of a mother in law who is somewhat of a hawk..lol

Posted 9 months ago - Hi there, if you are a female marrying an Afghan man there will be no problem whatsoever. My uncle and cousin married white "Canadian" girls, my cousin's wife converted to Islam and my uncle's wife didn't - both non-afghan wives are fully accepted. I also know Afghan men married to Korean, Arab, Indian, Euro and Hispanic women - no problems encountered.
On the other hand if you are an Afghan girl and marry a non-Afghan or even an Afghan who is a different ethnic group that you, well than all hell breaks loose. I know this because I am an Afghan woman married to an Iranian man and although we speak the same language and are the same religion ALOT of Afghans have a problem with it (not my family, but mainly family friends and even friends).
Personally, if you are a girl don't worry about the Afghans accepting the marriage, but you should be prepared for your own Arabs to be a tad critical. In Islamic countries, women are stripped of their citizenship and often disowned for marrying a "foreigner" even of the same religion - while men face so similar backlash....

Posted 7 months ago - Muslim non- afghan, and my boyfriend is afghan. we've been together for a while and he's amazing. but his brother tried to arrange an afghan wife for him. wanted him to marry his first cousin. my boyfriend wouldnt agree as he wants to marry me. his brother wont speak to him anymore.
im a good person, and a good muslim. im not aghan so he doesnt want me to marry my love. he's making us so unhappy. it's very hard for me as i dont want to separate them. it is so unfair.

I feel im at a breaking point. If we supposedly all stand equally before one god than why the division and hatred of one another? We are all human beings
put on this earth by god to live in peace and harmony and love. BTW i am not muslim nor christian. I am neither I have yet to find myself.

They now accepted her back, after she has 2 kids, happily married to an amazing man who isnt afghan. I'm afghan, and i will NEVER EVER EVER marry an afghan man, why, because they don't do equality.

I'm very independant and I have many guy friends, and he doesn't like that at all. He doesn't want me to talk to other guys. Is this normal for Afghan guys to freak out like that and not let me talk to other guys? Cuz in american culture that's not weird at all.

I really love this with all my heart and he is the most honest and caring and loving guy i will ever meet. Please does anyone have any ideas on how i can convince them that it doesnt matter that he is not afg but as long as he is muslim and that i am happy, who cares about culture differences.
